We just completed Teacher & Staff Appreciation week at ACA, and what a great week it was! Each morning, our staff members were greeted with a special breakfast provided specifically for them, and this Thursday, we held a special luncheon to honor the talent and dedication invested in our school by the teachers and staff members that make up Arizona Charter Academy.
Amiee Lee, teacher for junior high, was selected as Teacher of the Year by the Surprise Rotary, and received an award of $500.
Janeen Gaskins, Grant Writer for the city of Surprise, was named Community Member of the Year for her dedication in developing partnerships with the city and our school, including the Safe Routes to School grant, the REAP grant (providing student opportunities to attend summer camps at ASU free of charge), and other volunteer projects and service.
GCON Construction was named our Community Partner of the Year for their ongoing support, volunteer hours, and financial contributions to the Arizona Charter Academy.
