Wanted to share The Hour of Code this week Dec. 5-9 is a International week of awareness for coding and computer science. As we know, nationally we are lacking in Computer Science majors and an overabundance of jobs in that profession. Currently, there are 517,393 computer job openings and last year there were only 42,969 computer science graduates entering the workforce.
This is a way to pique students’ interest in perhaps pursuing a job in the field of Computer Science. Students work in pairs called pair programming. Programmers actually do this in real life, as it helps generate more ideas. For more information, go to www.code.org
