Last school year, an exciting opportunity arose for our talented ACA students to make their mark on the City of Surprise. Dr. Pullins approached our art teachers Ms. Pelletier and Ms. Jermolowicz with a creative challenge: transform the plain tarps surrounding the construction site of the new community center into a canvas of student artwork that would beautify the space.
What began as an ambitious idea turned into a five-month-long project involving planning, organization, and hard work. The result is nothing short of extraordinary! The vibrant, original paintings created by our 8th and 5th-grade classes are now proudly displayed near the Villanueva Recreation Center on W Santa Fe Dr. and N Hollyhock St. This public art installation adds color and life to the area while showcasing the incredible talent of our young artists.
We encourage everyone to take a drive by the site and see the artwork for yourselves. These pieces are not just decorations but a testament to the creativity, dedication, and teamwork of our ACA students.
As a special treat, all eight original paintings will also be featured in the upcoming ACA Art Show this May. This is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to celebrate the hard work and artistic achievements of these students.
Ms. Pelletier and Ms. Jermolowicz could not be prouder of what these young artists have accomplished. Every design, every brushstroke, and every detail is a reflection of their creativity and effort.
Thank you to everyone involved in making this project a reality, and congratulations to our amazing ACA artists for bringing beauty and inspiration to our community!
