This past week, a group of ACA students and staff attended the powerful Speak Up Stand Up, Save a Life Conference at Grand Canyon University. Over 4,000 valley students, teachers, parents, government officials and police chiefs gathered together to face issues such as bullying, depression, drug addiction, and mental health.
At Arizona Charter Academy we are very proud of the safe and bully free environment that we have worked extremely hard to perpetuate over the past 15 years. Bullying and adolescent depression is an epidemic that we aren't afraid to battle on a daily basis. We fight for a healthy and safe school, staff and student culture on a daily basis. Bully prevention is not just something we talk about a few times a year, it's something we have worked into our daily school culture.
Conferences like this one, are just another step we take to keep our campus safe and healthy for all of our students.
