Every year in the spring, ACA hosts it's Community and Volunteer Appreciation event. This year's event packed out our gym full of ACA staff, parents, volunteers, community organizations, elected officials and business partners. We work hard to nurture those relationships through joint endeavors throughout the year. We all get together to enjoy lunch and to recognize a few of our outstanding partners.
The theme of this years lunch was "Impact". Impact means to have a strong effect on someone or something. And that is exactly what our volunteers and community partners have on ACA. A tremendous impact!
ACA, 8th grader Cassandra Lopez gave a great speech about being a student at ACA since she was in kindergarten and the importance and impact our volunteers and community members have at ACA.
Volunteer of the Year
This years Volunteer of the Year was Mrs. Angela Gathings. She is one of our amazing parents volunteers that helps out in the classroom, with vision and hearing screenings, lice checks (now that's dedication!) and anything else we ask of her. And she always does it with a smile and tender heart towards our staff and students. Thank you, Mrs. Angela!!
Community Member of the Year
This years Community Member of the Year was John Randolph. John is a highly respected attorney and a member of ACA's Governing board. John has provided ACA with many hours of legal advice and guidance and provides a great perspective.
Community Partner of the Year
This years Community Partner of the year was Infincom. Infincom is our copy and print vendor and has been for quite a few years. They always sponsor our annual golf tournmanet and provide us with free printing and our copy tech Randy is always a phone call away (our front office LOVES him for this).
We are so grateful to this years award recipients and are thankful for ALL of our volunteers and community partners. They truly make ACA a GREAT place!
