· Employment Assistance – There are businesses and organizations still hiring that need employees. If you or someone you know is looking for work, please connect with our Surprise Workforce Development Coordinator, Andrew Witzel for employment leads, resume help and interview guidance. 623-222-1630. · FREE Mobile Food Pantry – All are welcome to a mobile food distribution this Saturday, April 18th at Iglesia Del Valle Church in the OTS from 8–10AM. The church is located at 15406 North Greasewood Street, Surprise. For more information, contact Pastor Dennis Garcia at pastordennis@idv-vc.com.
· WIC Assistance – Adelante Healthcare in Surprise is providing resources to many families who are struggling to eat and pay for food during this health crisis. WIC is a free nutrition and breastfeeding program. WIC services are now available by phone or virtual meetings. · NW Region I-HELP – A few spots are now open in the local Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program (I-HELP) for adults. If you know of anyone needing emergency shelter, please call Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest at 623-222-1659. https://www.lss-sw.org/get-help#shelter
· Community Legal Services is a non-profit offering a free Lunchtime Law Session on COVID-19 and Arizona Housing Law for tenants and homeowners at risk of losing their homes.
