Did you know there are dinosaur bones buried in the playground at ACA?! Mrs. Keldgord's 1st grade class is studying dinosaurs and paleontology. They even participated in their own archaeological dig by the swing sets and uncovered dinosaur fossils!
After they excavated the bones, they got together in groups and put together what they found. Then they headed back to their classrooms where they studied the different dinosaurs and discussed the different dinosaurs.
After discussing the dinosaurs they excavated, they watched a few videos that discussed the dinosaurs, saw pictures of what they looked like in prehistoric days and learned about their behaviors and diets.
