Last school year, a group of our Integrated Academy of Studies students, along with Middle School science teacher, Mr. Parham built an organic garden from the ground up! Brick by brick they built it, tilled the ground, filled it with soil, planted the seeds and nurtured the garden for the pas
t 6 months.
Last week, our students had their first harvest, and was it bountiful! Students learned about the plant life cycle, they tested different variables and growing conditions. They didn't use any pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.
Students and staff were able to take home baggies full of Arugula, Bibb and other salad bowl lettuces! Great job, students!
