We take literacy seriously at ACA and we also love to have fun. So put those two together and you get Read Across America celebrated the ACA way. We spent the week in spirit dress:
Monday: Cozy up and READ! Wear Pajamas
Tuesday: Oh the Places You'll Go - Dress up as your dream job, or your dream college.
Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday - wear mixed up, mismatched, or inside out clothes
Thursday - Green Eggs and Clothes - wear something green!
Friday - My Many Colors - wear your class color
Friday March 2nd is officially Read Across America Day, which also happens to be Dr. Seuss' Birthday. Our classrooms participated in literacy related activities all week. Students brought in their favorite Dr. Seuss and other favorite books. Students read with buddies, participated in book talks and we even had The Cat in the Hat come and read to our Kindergartners on Green Eggs and Clothes day!
ACA Kindergartners were treated to a green eggs and ham breakfast and a read-a-loud by Cat in the Hat! They were thrilled!
At ACA we celebrate reading!
